The Nova 39 has been developed with unique design features, combining both old and new concepts to improve function and comfort, in a way that has never been done before. The individual concepts of reverse chines, fine entry, lifting strakes, bow flair and keel pad, are already familiar in the marine industry. What sets the Nova 39 apart from its competition is the implementation of these features in addition to a new twist of the keel pad.

 

One of the biggest challenges in designing a hull is to achieve your design purpose with minimal compromise to the objectives that may adversely affect each other. For example, a highly efficient planning hull is generally adversely affected when smooth rough water performance is desired (i.e. flat bottom versus deep-V, respectively). 

 

The Nova has overcome these challenges, by achieving what normally would be considered design paradoxes.

The result is a hull with the following features:

 

* Ability to take on rough seas without pounding and reach higher speeds in comparison to a similar boat with same horse power and weight in the same sea conditions

 

 

* Ability to stay on plane without losing speed during turns (or if one of the twin engines Is shut down)

 

 

* Ability to stay dry while cutting through waves and eliminating pounding

 

 

* Having more interior space and head room while maintaining a sleek exterior profile
